Finish the Trail with Fun and Flavor
We have partnered with Rail Trail Operators to provide a end of day package that includes a choice of craft beer, bar snacks and a tour of the oldest building in town…our vey own taproom. Both the beer and bar snacks are packed with flavor and you haven’t seen the Real Central Otago until you’ve spent time in our Taproom.

Historic Ophir
Take a trip over to Ophir (only 2 km) to view the old Gold mining town which was established around 1863. Pick up a brochure on the Township in the hotel’s main foyer. This details the wonderful history of the original buildings in this lovely old quaint town, which is also the coldest place in New Zealand in winter. Make sure you “do the loop” which takes you through the township and across the old suspension bridge.
Guided Tours
There are several operators in the area that can take you on whatever type of tour you wish. The operators are “locals” and are well versed with the wonderful history of Central. There are different types of tours available, whether it be Scenic, Hunting or Fishing.
